Donna was born February 6, 1928, to Victor and Gladys (Lamphere) Cornella in Haynes, North Dakota. Her dad worked in the coal mine there, and later farmed. Her family later moved to Minnesota for a few years, and then on to Havre, where Donna graduated from Havre High School in 1946; and then attended one year of college at NMC.
Donna worked as a stenographer for the government from 1947 to 1952; working for a year at the Bureau of Reclamation, and later for the Corps of Engineers in Fort Peck; spent one winter at the Bureau of Land Management in Billings; and then returned to Havre where she worked for the Border Patrol until 1952.
March 29, 1951, she married Edward O. "EO" Larson in Shelby. Donna was a stay-at-home mom. She raised a garden and always had flowers around the yard. Her hobbies were reading, canasta, knitting, and needlework pictures. She liked to listen to audio books while she sewed.
She loved and enjoyed her children, her grandchildren, and especially her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed just sitting and watching the babies and toddlers play in their cute little ways, and later watching them grow and mature.
She was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church, and also attended St. Anthony's in Box Elder.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Edward O. in 2001; her parents - her dad, Victor, in 2002 and her mother, Gladys Cornella, in 2003; her sisters, Darla Jasper in 2006 and Dolores Bliss; her brother, Duanne Cornella; as well as an infant granddaughter, Gahbrielle Courtney, in 1995.
Survivors include Donna's children, daughters, Patti (Jack) Solomon of south Havre, Debbie (Jerry) D'Hooge of Havre, Joenne Courtney of Avon, Illinois; son, Robert E.O. (Cheryl) Larson of Billings; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
