Havre Police Department

Officers and Havre Fire Department emergency medical technicians responded Wednesday at 7:51 a.m. to a vehicle crash involving a semitractor-trailer and a Jeep on First Street West at the base of the hill. Four people were treated on the scene, but no one was transported to the hospital.

A Wednesday 7:59 a.m. caller on Lincoln Avenue reported that their vehicle had been hit by a school bus and the bus left the scene.

Angel Rose Gilead of Havre, 21, was issued a summons on a criminal contempt charge related to a 24/7 Sobriety Program no-show at 8 a.m. at the police station.

A First Street business reported Wednesday at 9:54 a.m. having received a bad check.

A caller with compliance monitoring reported Wednesday at 11:29 a.m. the theft of SCRAM equipment, which is used for alcohol and/or location monitoring.

Tristen Jace Gone of Havre, 23, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence refused to test, driving without a driver's license, wrong way driving, obstructing a pace officer or other public servant, vandalism, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, reckless driving and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after a caller on Smithville Road reported Wednesday at 1:57 p.m. that a man had taken off in the caller's vehicle, and officers made a vehicle stop on Second Street at 2:40 p.m., but the driver took off on foot before being caught.

Officers and fire department EMTs responded to a two-vehicle crash on Fifth Avenue at 2:42 p.m. Wednesday. Three people were treated on the scene, but no one was transported to the hospital.

A 3:59 p.m. Wednesday caller reported that a juvenile family member had run away from the school. The parents stopped by the police station with the juvenile at 6:29 p.m.

Shoplifters were reported at a First Street West business Wednesday at 5:12 p.m.

A broken window was reported on Second Street at 11:23 p.m. Wednesday.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Sheriff's office dispatch log reported no arrests, summonses or investigations in the 24-hour reporting period.

Montana Highway Patrol

Montana Highway Patrol and Havre Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle crash, at the junction of U.S. Highway 87 and Main Street in Box Elder, called in to Hill County Sheriff's Office at 9:24 a.m. Wednesday. The responding trooper and fire department personnel were not made available for comment, but the sheriff's office dispatch log reports that the crash involved a NorthWestern Energy bucket truck and a pickup truck. Airbags were deployed and two patients were at the scene. One person was outside of their vehicle and on the ground while the other person was stuck in their vehicle. No further details were available by print deadline.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to five calls Wednesday, three of which were vehicle crashes with multiple patients seen with possible transport of patients from a 9:26 a.m. Wednesday crash in Box Elder.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held three female cats, 10 male cats and one 9-week-old male kitten.

The shelter also held seven dogs, three 10-week-old puppies and six puppies from 8 weeks to 10 months old. Additionally, a 17-week-old puppy, a 12-week-old puppy and a dog were being housed off-site.
