Milk River Gobblers award scholarships

Milk River Gobblers announced the recipients of the 2023 scholarships the group awarded.

The Gobblers gave out $2,500 in scholarships to area students “to enhance their way to their college dreams,” the group said in a release.

Receiving $500 scholarships were Lance Ruttledge and Jaycee Worrall, both of Big Sandy High School, and Morgan Freide of Chinook High School.

Receiving $250 scholarships were Rainee Watson of North Star High School, Taylor Ball of Fort Benton High School, Brie Swanson of Chinook High School and Kennedy Ross of Malta High School.

“Congratulations to these outstanding students and best of luck in your future hopes and dreams,” the local organization that promotes healthy turkey and various game bird populations for hunting, as well as various other species, said in the release. “The Milk River Gobblers would like to thank all the participants who applied for these scholarships and we wish you also the best in your future goals.”
