Free blood pressure testing at senior center Friday

The community is invited to take advantage of free blood pressure testing with Janice Holt, RN, at North Central Senior Center, 2 Second St. W.

Holt will be at the senior center beginning Friday, 11 a.m. to noon, and then every other Friday at the center at that time.

A release from the center said:

• The best way to know if you have high blood pressure is to have your blood pressure checked.

• Only about 1 in 4 adults with hypertension have their condition under control.

• Having hypertension puts you at risk for heart attack, stroke, kidney failure and vision loss.

• Monitoring your blood pressure is a best defense.

No appointments are necessary for these regular blood pressure screenings.
