For the first night of men’s league golf at Prairie Farms, the weather didn’t quite cooperate. But the league got night two off the ground.
Rain washed away last Tuesday night’s league action at Prairie Farms Golf Course but Wednesday night, Master Sports and Michelob Ultra tied for high team. Master Sports is composed of Barry Kato, Wayne Bolken, Doug Sheppard and Justin Halverson. Michelob was made up of Jim Kato, Tom Baker III, Tom Adams and Robert Tate. Kato fired a one-under 35 for low gross, while Trey Brown was low net at 29.5.
Last Thursday night saw Prairie Farms Ladies League play their second night. Charlie’s Heating & AC scored 22.5 points for high team. The team was made up of Kelsey Ward, Kim Evans, Kim Purkett and Cindy Knudson. Ali Ward and Kelsey Ward shared low gross, each shooting 42, while Dana Seidel and Wendy Tilleman were low net at 34.
Men’s League is also underway at Beaver Creek Golf Course. And speaking of BCGC, congrats to Gus Bacon for recording a hole-in-one there last week! That’s awesome, Gus. Way to go.
Also, a big good luck to our local high school golfers who are competing this week at the state tournament. Class C golfers will be playing at Anaconda Hills in Great Falls, and Class B state is taking place at Marias Valley in Shelby. Good luck kids, and we’ll hopefully have some results in next week’s column.
