Graduation approaches for area schools

As the school year winds down, graduation ceremonies approach for high school seniors and schools are gearing up for the events that will take place over this month.

Havre Public Schools will hold its graduation at Blue Pony Stadium, much like last year, May 28 at 2 p.m., though plans may change if the weather doesn’t allow for an outdoor event.

However, most graduation ceremonies are scheduled for this weekend.

Saturday, both Hays-Lodge Pole High School and Box Elder High School will have their graduation ceremonies in their respective gymnasiums at 1 p.m.

Turner and North Star schools will have their ceremonies in their gymnasiums Saturday, as well, though they will be a bit later in the day, beginning at 2 p.m.

Big Sandy Schools will hold their graduation ceremony at the Big Sandy High School Gym May 21 at 2 p.m. and Chester-Joplin-Inverness Schools will do the same in their auditorium at the same time.

Chinook High School’s graduation will also be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in its gymnasium but Harlem High School’s graduation will be a bit earlier in the day, starting at 1 p.m. that day in Harlem High School’s gymnasium.

Rocky Boy Schools will hold its graduation ceremony Thursday, May 25, though further details are still being worked out.
