Havre Police Department

At 7:47 a.m. Monday, a ladder was reported stolen during the night on Third Street.

A Monday 10:22 a.m. caller at a First Street business reported receiving suspicious prescriptions phoned in for a customer.

A shoplifter was reported leaving a First Street West business Monday at 12:45 p.m. in a red Toyota cross-over with front end damage on the passenger side.

Amari Love Longknife of Havre, 18, was arrested on a criminal contempt charge after a 3:15 p.m. Monday caller on First Street reported seeing Longknife, who had outstanding warrants.

An arrest was made after a caller on Second Street reported Monday at 5:40 p.m. being beaten up. No details on charges were provided in the dispatch log, but Melinda Douglas, who was named as an involved party, was listed in this morning's jail roster as being held on a charge of partner or family member assault.

A Fifth Street caller reported Monday at 6:33 p.m. that someone had painted on the caller's vehicle sometime between Saturday and the time of the call.

Joseph David McLeod of Havre, 22, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of marijuana and speeding during a Monday 10:46 p.m. vehicle stop on First Street.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Devon Carter Nelson of Havre, 19, was arrested on charges of trespass to property and minor in possession after a 1:10 p.m. Monday caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a trespasser.

Deputies investigated a complaint made on county Rod 830 Northwest Monday at 6:47 p.m.

A car theft was reported Monday at 7:11 p.m. on Laredo Road.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to two calls Monday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held five 7-week-old kittens of unknown gender, four female cats and six male cats.

The shelter also held six dogs, three 8-week-old puppies and three puppies from 8- to 9-months-old. Additionally, one female 9-week-old puppy and a male dog were being housed off-site.
