Hello, God. It's me, Mara.

May Day!

You know, Lord, sometimes we need to stop and take a breath - like, whoa, May is almost upon us - Wow! What do we expect with May? Well, a friend decided to share some thoughts about May - like about how their wild crabapple blossoms are about to open, they already know that they will be so lovely!

That is enough joy for any month. The wealth of aroma drenches the air. Before the blooms come, one anticipates their color, their perfume, their wild-wood wonder.  When the blossoms do show up, they bask in sunlight on days of earliest spring.

When their leaf withers and flowers and fragrance are forgotten, one never forgets neither fragrance nor their lovely petals. May is washed clean across by wild crabs in bloom, they blow across all the glad month of May by the grace of promise and fulfillment and blessed memory, as are the wild crab blossoms everywhere, in May!

Spring has arrived - May has come. May comes outdoors bareheaded with hair of burnished gold, bound by a blue ribbon of flax blossoms falling down on naked shoulders and toyed with by the wind. ... Hey, can't you just see that? Wow! Come outdoors and start singing in the sun - all day! And in the stars all night, sheltered only by the tent of heaven like the wild birds, neither lonely nor afraid.

In May, weather matters are settled pleasantly. The south wind tells us where we are, the West wind tells us, the robins tell us, the butterflies tell us, and the apple blossoms tell us. Even the wheat fields begin to give answers to the wind, telling us, as the lovely fields start to turn green, "Spring has arrived at last!" "T. J.," with a giggle, tells us, "Yes, spring is here and guess what, life is gleaming in May!"

Love Mara
