Schoen, VanCampen earn Blewett North Central Montana Best Student Wrestler Awards

Two local wrestlers, Tyler Schoen of Chinook High School, Kale VanCampen of Havre High School, were awarded $1,000 in scholarships by Alexander “Zander” Blewett III, a trial lawyer from the personal injury law firm of Hoyt & Blewett PLLC in Great Falls.

Schoen was a two-time state champion and two-time placer, all while maintaining a 3.73 GPA. Schoen intends to study business administration and farm and ranch operations at University of Montana Western.

VanCampen won a state championship his senior year and earned a 3.0 GPA. He will study kinesiology at the University of Montana Western.

Blewett offers a statewide Blewett Wrestling Scholarship which provides three $1,000 scholarships to the top student wrestlers around the state of Montana for Classes AA, A and B/C.

He also awards $500 scholarships to the top wrestlers from numerous schools in north-central Montana who have displayed the best combined qualities of wrestling and academic achievement.

Students are eligible from schools in Augusta, Cascade, Chester-Joplin-Inverness, Chinook, Choteau, Conrad, Cut Bank, Fort Benton, Great Falls, Havre, Highwood, Shelby and Valier.
