PRCA Bares and Broncs Challenge returns to the Hi-Line

Last weekend, the PRCA Extreme Bares and Broncs Challenge returned to Havre. Over the course of Friday and Saturday, several riders showcased their talent at the rodeo, which is a fundraiser for Montana State University-Northern Rodeo teams.

At the end of the weekend, Jacek Frost took first in the bareback riding event with 89 points. With his first-place finish, Frost won $3,863 in earnings and moved up to 17th in the PRCA standings.

Jayco Roper took second in the event with 88.5 points to earn $2,962 and stands at fifth in the bareback riding standings. Cole Reiner finished third with 88 points to earn $2,189 and he stands at 13th in the standings.

Keenan Hayes finished fourth in the event with 87.5 points. However, he remains second in the standings. Jacob Raine took fifth with 87 points. Cooper Cooke took sixth with 85 points and currently stands at 20th in the standings. Trenten Montero took seventh with 83 points. Tied for eighth were Caleb Bennett, Richard Champion and Shane O'Connell with 82.5 points.

In saddle bronc riding, Ben Anderson took first with 88.5 points. With his finish, Anderson earned $4,117 and moved to fifth in the PRCA standings. Logan Hay finished second in the event with 86.5 points to earn $3,157. He stands at 12 in the standings. Brody Wells took third with 84 points to earn $2,333 and moved to 14th in the standings.

Dawson Dahm took fourth with 83 points. Jack Bentz and Kolby Wanchuk tied for fifth with 81.5 points. Sage Newman finished seventh with 80 points in the event, but he still remains first in the standings in saddle bronc riding. Tanner Butner and Garrett Cunningham tied for eighth with 79 points. Butner is now tenth in the standings.
