Havre Police Department

Jesse Lee Schoening of Havre, 33, was arrested on four charges of assault with a weapon and one charge of assault on a peace or judicial officer after Schoening requested an ambulance at 8:53 a.m. Friday, but after he pointed a rifle at emergency medical technicians, officers were called to the scene at 9:06 a.m. The incident is still under investigation.

Melinda Rose Cochran of Fort Belknap, 41, was arrested on three Justice or City court warrants served Friday at 12:13 p.m. at Seventh Avenue and Second Street.

A 10th Avenue caller reported Friday at 2:54 p.m. that two people stole the caller's credit card.

Pete Gabriel Longknife of Havre, 23, was arrested on three Justice or City court warrants after officers were asked at 4:51 p.m. Friday to assist with a medical call on First Street.

Cara Wren Gerlick of Havre, 44, was issued a summons on a littering charge after a Friday 5:41 p.m. caller on Third Avenue reported that a woman threw newspapers at a car.

A Sixth Avenue caller reported Friday at 10:10 p.m. a package might have been stolen.

Kannon Michael Ferestad of Havre, 21, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence refused to test and careless driving after a 1:45 a.m. Saturday vehicle stop on First Street West.

A 15-year-old girl was issued a summons on a charge of minor in possession after an 11th Street caller reported hearing Saturday at 5:07 a.m. a girl screaming "don't touch me."

Justin Wade Brown of Havre, 61, was arrested on four state District Court warrants served after a vehicle stop on Second Street at 1:50 p.m. Saturday.

A caller at a U.S. Highway 2 Northwest business reported Saturday at 4:29 p.m. that a juvenile tried to get served and ran off after being asked for his ID.

Margaret Rose Bear of Dodson, 28, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence refused to test, failure to give notice of an accident, failure to carry proof of vehicle insurance, wrong way driving and failure to back safely after a caller on 10th Avenue reported Saturday at 4:39 p.m. they were following a driver who had hit their car and drove off.

Robert Dancingfeather Gutierrez of Havre, 29, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and a charge of probation violation and Kendra Bigknife of Havre, 30, was arrested on five charges of endangering the welfare of children after a caller on First Street Northeast reported a small child that was alone Saturday at 5:09 p.m.

Tesla Rose Hoops of Harlem, 32, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after officers were called to Third Street to assist another agency Sunday at 2:48 a.m.

David Allen Doney of Havre, 38, was arrested on charges of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant after a caller reported a man was making strange hand gestures on First Street Sunday at 12:22 p.m.

A kicked-in door was reported Sunday at 2:40 p.m. at a rental on 10th Avenue.

--

A hit and run crash was reported on Second Avenue at 2:55 p.m. Sunday.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Matraca Lee Kennedy of Miles City, 18, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and Keanan Caine Engelhardt of Havre, 19, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant after suspicious activity was reported in Beaver Creek Park Friday at 7:36 p.m.

Deputies investigated a call on Ley Road Saturday at 9:21 p.m.

A caller at Great Northern Fairgrounds asked Saturday at 10:11 p.m. to speak with a deputy.

--

A theft, forgery or fraud was reported on Eagle Rock Road Sunday at 11:36 a.m.

--

A caller reported Sunday at 7:18 p.m. being assaulted by the owner of a Box Elder establishment.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to eight calls Friday, five calls Saturday and three calls early Sunday morning. An ambulance and crew also provided standby at the rodeo Friday and Saturday evenings.

Fire crews responded to a good intent call Friday at 10:37 a.m. and to a report of a gas odor Saturday at 3:55 p.m. on the 1000 Block of 22nd Avenue West. The call log for the 24-hour reporting period, Sunday to this morning, was not made available by print deadline.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held one cat and one 5-week-old kitten, both of unknown gender, six male cats and five female cats. Another two cats were being held for the trap-neuter-release program.

The shelter also held eight mixed-breed dogs, a male 17-week-old mixed-breed puppy, a 7-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a male pit bull terrier and a 16-week-old shepherd. Additionally, a male mixed-breed dog was being housed off-site.

A girl was born Sunday, April 2, 2023, to Chaylynne Johnson of Havre.
