NAMI has events slated through June

National Alliance on Mental Illness Havre has released its newsletter for April updating events it has coming up.

“We hope that everyone is happy to see spring and now it time for showers to come,” the newsletter says.

NAMI Havre is having a craft and vendor show April at the Atrium from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, people can call 406-265-2258.

“We will have more dates on craft and vendor shows that are going to be coming up so be watching for them,” the newsletter said. “May 13, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Mother’s Day, June 3, 2023, for Father’s Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., so please come out fine the something special something for your loved one.”

The release said illness has led to staff shortages at the NAMI Havre office.

“We would like to say we are sorry that we are not up at the office a lot, but we are volunteers at the office and with the flu season,” the newsletter said. “No one wants to get anyone sick. Spring and Summer is coming and we will be up there more then we do in the winter time. If anyone need any thing they can reach us by facebook our email address is [email protected] we do look at all of our stuff. We are not therapist we are just educators.”

The newsletter said NAMI Havre does have classes going on now to June 1, 2023, and then will start them up again in August.

“If you want to take a class, we are willing to work around your time and day just let us know what will work for you,” the newsletter said.

The classes and support groups available now are: Peer2peer, Family 2 Family, Family and Friends, Family Support Group, Connections, and In Our Own Voice.

NAMI Havre staff is all trained in these classes and NAMI Havre staff take trainings every year in Helena.

“Here is what we can help with: lead, listen, educate, advocate, and support for people that would like this from us,” the newsletter said.

It said the office will be closed April 11-14 and reopen April 17.
