Havre Police Department

Bertha Rose Garrett of Havre, 37, was arrested on a state District Court warrant after a caller reported Thursday at 12:25 p.m. that someone at a Second Street location had an outstanding warrant from Sanders County.

Itay Lee Small of Box Elder, 43, was issued a summons on charges of driving without a driver's license, expired vehicle registration, failure to carry proof of insurance and operating a vehicle with fictitious plates after a vehicle stop on Second Street at 12:38 p.m. Thursday.

Officers assisting another agency Thursday at 2:46 p.m. issued a be-on-the-lookout order for a blue GMC with no front plate because individuals connected with the vehicle tried to steal a TV.

Officers assisted Montana Highway Patrol troopers on First Street West Thursday at 9:37 p.m.

Officers responded at 3:17 this morning to a burglar alarm at a First Street West establishment, but it turned out to be a false alarm.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies investigated an assault on Sixth Street North Thursday at 1:38 p.m.

Taile Dessa Ryann Lamere of Box Elder, 19, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and charges of shoplifting and obstructing a peace officer or other public servant after a shoplifter was reported at a U.S. Highway 2 West business Thursday at 2:44 p.m. and deputies made a vehicle stop on 11th Street West at 2:56 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to five calls Thursday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held one cat and one 3-week-old kitten, both of unknown gender, six male cats and six female cats. Another two cats were being held for the trap-neuter-release program.

The shelter also held eight mixed-breed dogs, a male 16-week-old mixed-breed puppy, a male Chihuahua-Pomeranian cross, a male pit bull terrier, and a female and a male 14-week-old mixed-breed puppies. Additionally, five 7-week-old Australian shepherd puppies, a male mixed-breed dog and a female Australian shepherd dog were being housed off-site.
