Quick pics: Sitting in the sun

A bald eagles sits under clear skies above some snowy ground near the entrance to Beaver Creek Park last week. Weather has stayed chilly in recent days, and light snow has fallen, with much of this region still snow-covered. As of the forecast Tuesday afternoon, the last available before printing deadline for this page, temperatures are expected to get into the 30s Thursday on with lows still mainly in the teens. A chance of snow was predicted Friday night and Saturday, but no major accumulations were expected in this region.
