Wallace "Wally" H. Rolf, 87, of Bagley and McIntosh, Minnesota, formerly of Havre, Montana, died on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at McIntosh Senior Living.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cease Funeral Home in Bagley, Minnesota, with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will be held in the spring at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in McIntosh, MN.
The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
Wallace was born June 24, 1935, in McIntosh, MN, to Walter and Thea (Jore) Rolf. He was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in McIntosh, MN. He grew up on a farm north of McIntosh. He lived briefly in Kalispell, Montana, in 1946 and moved back to McIntosh to the farm. Wallace married Lillian Netland on April 14, 1962 in Bagley, Minnesota. They moved to Montana and raised their children. Wally always loved farming, so he farmed in Montana. A workaholic, he was never a person to sit around. He was an excellent salesman and sold a variety of farm-related goods. He retired in 1985, but continued to stay busy. Wallace loved camping, hunting, and fishing. He always relished time outdoors, especially with his boys.
Wallace leaves behind his wife, Lillian; his sons, Wade (Renee) Rolf and Wynne (Terri) Rolf; his grandchildren, Chase Rolf, Heather Rolf, and Justin Rolf; his great grandchildren, Ali and Skyla Rolf; his sisters-in-law Andrea Lundin, Marlys (Don) Blooflat, Lena LaRue, Rhonda Netland, and Sandy Netland; brother-in-law, Larry (Karla) Netland; many loved nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Thea Rolf; parents-in-law, Wallert and Myrtle Netland; his siblings, Kenneth (Harriet) Rolf, Truman (Agnes) Rolf and Delores (Wayne) Struble; and his brothers-in-law Wayne Netland, Harley Netland, Lewis LaRue and Duane Lundin.
