District 9C All-Conference teams announced

Now that an exciting season in the District 9C has come to an end, the All-Conference teams for both boys and girls basketball have been announced. Thanks to their stellar seasons this past winter, players from across the Hi-Line were recognized for their efforts.

After winning the District 9C championship and finishing fourth at the Northern C Divisional, the Box Elder boys basketball team was well represented. Both Tracen Jilot and Tuarie Stiffarm-Rosette earned All-State and First Team All-Conference honors for their seasons. Fellow Bears Matthias Blackbird and Skylar Walker earned Second Team All-Conference honors. For the Bears' success this season, Box Elder head coach Jeremy MacDonald earned District 9C Coach of the Year.

The Big Sandy boys basketball team had a strong showing on the All-Conference teams after taking third in the District 9C, second at the Northern C Divisional and second at the Class C State Tournament. For his stellar season, Braydon Cline earned All-State and First Team All-Conference honors. Kody Strutz earned First Team All-Conference while Isaac Pedraza earned Second Team All-Conference honors.

The Chester-Joplin-Inverness boys basketball team finished second in the District 9C, so naturally some Hawks would receive postseason honors. Blake Harmon finished his career earning All-State and First Team All-Conference honors. Braden Mattson also earned First Team All-Conference honors while Karson Pulst earned Second Team All-Conference honors.

From the Fort Benton boys basketball team, Cody Evans earned All-State and First Team All-Conference honors. Fellow Longhorn Landis Arganbright earned Second Team All-Conference honors.

From the North Star boys basketball team, both Garrett and Gavin Spicher earned Second Team All-Conference honors. Turner's Ryan Doyle earned All-State and First Team All-Conference honors. Brenden Fetter represented Chinook by earning Second Team All-Conference honors.

On the postseason girls team, the Chinook Sugarbeeters were well represented after winning the District 9C and finishing second at the Northern C Divisional. Hallie Neibauer had a stellar season to earn All-State and First Team All-Conference honors. Bree Swanson also played well to earn First Team All-Conference honors. In Second Team All-Conference, Alexus Seymour represented the Sugarbeeters.

Thanks to a second-place finish in the 9C, the North Star Knights were well represented. Seniors Laynie Sattoriva, Kaytlyn Domire and Rainee Watson all earned All-State and First Team All-Conference honors. Because of the success of both teams, Chinook's Mike Jones and North Star's Scott Bymaster were named Co-Coach of the Year in the District 9C.

The Fort Benton Longhorns finished third in the 9C and third in the Northern C, so they had some players receiving postseason honors. Senior Emerson Giese earned All-State and First Team All-Conference honors while her teammate Casha Corder earned Second Team All-Conference honors.

Big Sandy's Eva Yeadon earned All-State and First Team All-Conference honors for her season with the Pioneers. Her teammates Eva Wagoner and Jai Baumann earned Second Team All-Conference honors. From CJI, Brynn Kammerzell and MaRae Small earned Second Team All-Conference honors.

From Box Elder, Meiyah Oats represented the Bears on the First Team All-Conference squad. Turner's Dakota Krass earned Second Team All-Conference honors for her season. Alliyah Pretty Paint from Hays-Lodgepole also had a strong season to earn Second Team All-Conference honors.
