Havre Public Works has warned drivers to be watching for potholes while driving in the the city.
“Please be aware that this time of year is prime season for potholes,” the department said in a release. “The repetition of thawing and freezing causes the holes and at this time, there isn’t much we can do to repair the worst hit areas.”
The release said the department is asking the public is to be aware of the rough roads, use caution when no other route is available, and use an alternate route if possible.
“Thank you for your cooperation and understanding,” the release said.
It added that one of the worst areas is the 400 Block of 12th Avenue.
“Slow down and watch for rough roads when driving in this area, and if possible, use an alternate route,” the release said. “Thank you.”
