Claitona Leigh Longknife of Havre, 29, was issued a summons on charges of operating a vehicle without valid registration and driving without a driver's license during a vehicle stop on Fifth Avenue at 3:07 p.m. Wednesday.

Emergency medical technicians responded to one call Wednesday.
Havre Animal Shelter
The shelter this morning held four male cats, two female 7-month-old kittens and three female cats. Four cats were also being held for the trap-neuter-release program.

The shelter also held six male and one female mixed-breed dogs, a female dachshund, a female Australian cattle dog-blue heeler, a male pit bull terrier, two puppies 13 weeks and 8 months old, a 22-week-old Australian shepherd puppy and six 10-week-old puppies. Additionally, five 14-week-old puppies and a male dog, all of mixed-breeding, were being housed off-site.
