MSU-N's Carl Hansen named CCC Wrestler of the Week

Coming off a huge dual win against the University of Providence Argos last Thursday in Billings, the Montana State University-Northern Lights now have the Cascade Conference Wrestler of the Week as well.

Northern's Carl Hansen was named the Rize Laboratory Men's Wrestler of the Week. Hansen, a 197-lb redshirt junior wrestler from Elko Nevada, is ranked No. 15 in the NAIA and has helped his team to an overall record of 8-3. He led the Lights to a 23-17 upset Thursday in their last duel of the season against No. 9 University of Providence. Hansen defeated No. 14-ranked Liam Swanson with a 2:30 fall.

Hansen is an NAIA national qualifier for the Lights, and is ranked No. 2 in the CCC.

The Lights are in Prescott, Arizona, for this weekend’s Cascade Collegiate Championships.
