Press release
Montana State University Extension Hill County and the Bullhook Blossoms Garden Club will host a pruning workshop March 17 at 10 a.m. in the 4-H Chuckwagon on the Great Northern Fairgrounds.
MSU Extension Horticulture Specialist Abi Saeed will be presenting on plumbing and answering all your pruning questions. This program is free and open to all that want to attend. Bullhook Blossoms Garden Club will be providing refreshments.
Pruning trees can seem like a simple task but when you get into the whens and hows of pruning it might look a bit daunting. This workshop will cover the basics of pruning different types of trees and give you recommendations on when to prune and what tools to use. Pruning helps to improve tree strength, shape and fruit quality (if it is a fruit tree).
To join us, please call or MSU Extension Hill County at 406-400-2333 or colleen.pegar@montana.edu .
