When you're hot, you're hot.

The Montana State University-Northern men's basketball team made it five in a row in Frontier Conference play when the Lights throttled arch rival Providence 90-68 Saturday afternoon in the Armory Gymnasium. It also was a revenge night for the Lights, who had lost to the Argos twice in Great Falls earlier this season.

"Just really proud of our guys," Northern head coach Shawn Huse said. "They continue to really execute at a high level."

The Lights got off to a great start outscoring the Argos 46-30 in the first half. Northern shot 57 percent from the field and 42 percent from the three. Providence shot 32 percent from the field and went 3-9 from the three-point line. The Lights kept the momentum in the second half to take the game.

They also held the Argos, the Frontier's highest-scoring team, to 12 points below their season average. Providence shot 40 percent from the field, 37 percent from the 3-point line, and 80 percent from the free throw.
