Havre High lists January student of the month

Crawford Terry is a Havre High School Student of the Month for January, 2023. His parents are Chuck and Teresa Terry and he has three siblings, Naomi, Caitlyn and Griffin.

Crawford is a senior who is active in football, basketball and FFA. Outside of school, he is employed during the summer by Gold Harvest Seeds in Big Sandy. 

"Crawford is a responsible, conscientious, and motivated student," Heather Haney, who nominated Crawford, said. "He always completes his work to the highest standards efficiently and timely. Crawford is one of the most respectful young gentlemen that I have had the pleasure to teach and is a positive role model to his peers. 

"Crawford's hard work and dedication extend past the classroom and into extracurricular activities, as well," Haney added. "Crawford is a dedicated athlete, one who his coaches and peers respect and look to when they need him. I also appreciate that he's never used his sports absences as an excuse to not get his schoolwork done.

"Thank you, Crawford, for your work ethic, positive attitude, and for being a positive role model to other HHS students," Haney said.

Outside of school, Crawford said, he enjoys fishing, hunting, working out, cornhole and badminton.

In the future, he plans to attend Montana State University-Northern to earn a degree in civil engineering and pipe fitting while also playing football.

Malachi Bracelet is the the Havre High School student of the month for January, 2023. He is the son of Jessie Perez and has four siblings, Nature, Brianna, Jericho and Brodie.

Malachi is a sophomore who is active in basketball. Outside of school, Malachi enjoys doing mechanic work and playing basketball.

Miles Laird, who nominated Malachi, said, "Malachi is a responsible and respectful student who completes his work in a timely manner and to the best of his ability. Malachi is punctual, has excellent attendance, and willingly participates in classroom discussion."

"Malachi always has a smile on his face and positive attitude," Laird added.

After his time at HHS, Malachi plans to attend MSU-Northern to study diesel mechanics.
