Quick pics: When Hell freezes over

Havre's Montana Blend pose for a photograph with their trophy at the 2022 Hi-Line Hell Freeze Hockey Tournament. This year's Hell Freeze, the 13th annual hockey tournament, kicks off today in the Havre Ice Dome. This year the tourney features 15 teams, several from across Montana as well as players from Washington, Arizona, Alberta and Saskatchewan. The tournament has four divisions (Tripod, Sandbaggers/Benders, Low Rec and High Rec) that divide up the competition in evenly matched groups. Many local hockey stars are back to enjoy the event, including two teams that are primarily all family members assembled to make full rosters. - Havre Mclanson and Montana Blend. The event is ultimately a large fundraiser with all of the money made going directly back in to youth hockey.
