Havre Police Department

A caller on First Avenue near S-Curve park reported a two-vehicle, non-injury crash Tuesday at 11:17 a.m.

A credit card theft occurring Sunday was reported at 12:17 p.m. Tuesday.

A Boulevard Avenue caller reported Tuesday at 12:56 p.m. that a man in a brown Carhartt jacket and blue jeans was possibly stealing packages.

A hit and run crash was reported on Sixth Street Tuesday at 1:34 p.m.

--

A fender bender was reported in a First Street West parking lot Tuesday at 2:03 p.m.

--

A summons was issued after a caller reported at 4:42 p.m. Tuesday they were following a vehicle that had sideswiped their vehicle on Second Street. No details on the charges were provided.

A Tuesday 5:29 p.m. caller in Havre asked to speak with an officer about a sex offense.

Ryan Steven Ferguson of Chinook, 33, was issued a summons on a charge of theft after a Fifth Street caller reported Tuesday at 8:52 p.m. that a family member had stolen the caller's phone and would not return it.

A shoplifter was reported at a First Street West business at 1:59 a.m. today.

--

Officers and Animal Control have, since Friday, had to deal with several calls about dogs lost, found, running loose and being left outside barking.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies assisted a motorist on U.S. Highway 2 West at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to two calls Tuesday and two calls early this morning.

Firefighters responded Tuesday at 11:19 a.m. to provide assistance at a vehicle crash on the 1000 Block of First Avenue and were called to a gas leak on the 1400 Block of First Street at 1:21 p.m. Tuesday, but no leak was detected.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held one cats of unknown gender, four male cats and three female cats, along with five cats in the trap-neuter-release program.

The shelter also held five mixed-breed puppies of varying ages from 6 to 11 months, one male and two female mixed-breed dogs, a female pit bull terrier, 11 7-week-old mixed-breed puppies and a female pit bull-Labrador cross. Additionally, a male mixed-breed dog was being housed off-site.
