Havre Police Department

Sheldon Albert Brien of Butte, 37, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after a 1:29 p.m. Thursday complaint from a First Street West business of man too intoxicated to stand.

An arrest was made after callers Thursday at 3:09 p.m. on Second Street and at 3:52 p.m. on Seventh Avenue complained about an intoxicated woman. No details on the charges were provided, but Elizabeth Rose Lara, who was named as an involved party in both incidents, was listed in the jail roster this morning as being held on charges of theft and disorderly conduct.

Jennifer Jean Longknife of Havre, 31, was issued a summons on charges of shoplifting and trespass to property after a shoplifter was reported at a First Street business Thursday at 4:19 p.m.

Tyler Roy Lawrence of Havre, 29, was arrested on charges of partner or family member assault and unlawful restraint after a domestic disturbance was reported on First Street Northeast at 4:22 p.m. Thursday.

Bill Louis Morsette of Box Elder, 32 , was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and Alicia Diane Tyner of Box Elder, 32, was arrested on a charge of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant during a vehicle stop on First Street at 11:37 p.m. Thursday.

Officers dealt with seven snow-related calls Thursday.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies investigated a Thursday 12:03 p.m. report of four rifle gunshots heard in or near Box Elder.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to six calls Thursday.

Firefighters responded with an ambulance to a vehicle fire on the 1400 Block of Fifth Avenue at 10:45 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle, a 1980s model pickup truck, had a fire in the engine compartment and sustained significant engine damage.

Firefighters continued to provide standby for NorthWestern Energy crews at a gas leak site in the alley near Juniper Drive. Fire Chief Nathan Courtnage said NWE is still working on getting the natural gas out of the ground.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held three cats all of unknown gender, four female cats, one male 6-month-old kitten and two male cats.

The shelter also held a male Shih Tzu-poodle cross, a male mixed-breed dog, 16 mixed-breed puppies of varying ages from 8 weeks to 6 months and a female Yorkshire terrier. Additionally, a male dog and a female dog with 10 puppies, all of mixed-breeding, were being housed off-site.
