Ice fishing tournaments scheduled in northeast Montana

GLASGOW — The ice is on, and contests are scheduled for ice fishing in Region 6.   

Early on, there was a mistake on the date of the Fresno ice fishing tournament. The correct date is January 28.

Below is the schedule for 2023 for Region 6 in northeast Montana.  Please go to https://fwp.mt.gov/fish/regulations/contests for more details and to find out about other contests throughout the state. 

• Jan. 28 — Fresno Ice Fishing Tournament, Fresno Reservoir 

• Jan. 28 — Chamber Ice Fishing Derby, Fort Peck 

• Jan. 28 — Ice Classic Fishing Tournament, Nelson Reservoir 

• Feb. 4 — Chinook Rod and Gun Club Ice Fishing Derby, Dry Fork Reservoir 

• Feb. 11 — Hell Creek Ice Fishing Tournament, Fort Peck Reservoir
