Havre Police Department

A caller on Fifth Avenue reported Thursday at 9:09 a.m. that the caller's two chihuahuas and another dog were missing and asked if they could be brought home if found because the caller had a medical problem prohibiting a search for the pets.

An investigator at Jefferson County Sheriff's Office asked Thursday at 10:21 a.m. for assistance with a complainant on Ninth Street.

Two summonses were issued after a drug offense was reported at Havre High School Thursday at 1:28 p.m. No details on charges were provided, but the narrative on the dispatch log included possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A two-vehicle crash was reported at 15th Street and Lincoln Avenue at 2:37 p.m. Thursday.

Sheldon Albert Brien of Butte, 37, was arrested on charges of trespass to property and shoplifting after a caller at a First Street business reported a man causing problems Thursday at 3:55 p.m.

Officers arrested a female during a mutual assistance with another agency on Ninth Avenue Thursday at 4:22 p.m. No charges were listed in the dispatch log, but Clarissa Mae Messerly, who was named as an involved party, was listed in this morning's jail roster as being held on a charge of violation of release conditions.

An arrest was made during a Thursday 6:08 p.m. vehicle stop on 10th Street. No details on charges were provided.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A Thursday 1:55 p.m. caller on U.S. Highway 87 near mile marker 103 said a car had gone into the ditch, but they didn't know if the driver was hurt or had a medical issue. The log says the driver was taken to the hospital.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to six calls Thursday, and firefighters responded with an ambulance to a 2:09 p.m. response to a vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 87.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held three cats all of unknown gender, four female cats, one female and two male 6-month-old kittens, and one male cat.

The shelter also held seven mixed-breed puppies of varying ages, a male and two female mixed-breed dogs, a female 22-week-old border collie puppy, a male Yorkshire terrier and a male German shepherd. Additionally, a male dog and a male 10-month-old puppy, both mixed-breed, were being fostered, and four female 10-week-old mixed breed puppies were being held separately.

Births

A boy was born Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, to Shauna and Kellin Jund of Havre.
