Hallie Neibauer, Chinook Girls Basketball

The Chinook Sugarbeeters have started the 2022-23 girls basketball season red-hot. Especially junior Hallie Neibauer, who scored 57 points in two games. Neibauer poured in 27 points in Chinook’s win over Cut Bank Thursday night, when she dropped 30 points in a win over Shelby Saturday at the Shelby Tournament. Neibauer also combined for 23 rebounds in two games as Chinook started 2-0. Neibauer is a standout in volleyball and track as well at Chinook.

Blake Harmon, CJI Boys Basketball

Chester-Joplin-Inverness’ Blake Harmon wasted little time in getting his basketball season off on the right foot. Harmon scored 19 points in CJI’s season-opening win over East Helena JV last Friday in Cascade, then he scorched the host Badgers for a career-high 34 points in a win Saturday. Harmon, who had a great season on the football field for CJI, is a three-year starter for the Hawks on the basketball court.
