Plant a Seed ... READ is conducting its end-of-year appeal during the month of December with its call to action being enrolling more children in Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

More than 2,000 children from birth to age 5 in Blaine and Hill Counties eligible to receive these age-appropriate books in their name once a month which are free to the families. At this time only 24% of those children are receiving the books.

Community members, businesses, service organizations, etc. are invited to make a difference in a child's life by sponsoring a child in their community for $30 per child per year. By having been read to, a child develops a stronger bond with adults, increase their speaking and listening vocabulary, learn how books work and develop a love of reading, better preparing them for school and life.

Join our mission of getting books in the hands of children in our communities of Blaine and Hill Counties and reach the goal of 50% of the children enrolled in the Imagination Library by December 31st! A quote by Mr. Rodgers, "Anyone who does anything to help a child in his life is a hero." Be a hero for a child and give them the solid foundation of literacy as we finish 2022 by "Building a Great Year Together"
