Howard Orvil Stromberg born Oct 28, 1951, died at his home in St. Augusta, MN, November 22, 2022, of natural causes.
Howard was born and raised in Havre, MT. He and his sister Karan Evans owned and operated Stromberg Sinclair & E-Fish-Hunt Sports for years prior to retiring.
Howard and his wife, Mary Clair McGuire moved to St. Augusta, to be closer to their sons Keith Stromberg (Jocelyn) and Courtney Welch (Sarah) both of whom now reside in Minnesota.
Howard was a beloved friend, father, and general character. A business owner in Havre, Howard donated a great deal of time and energy to Walleyes Unlimited, The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Ducks Unlimited and other fundraisers.
In any event, Howard talked to every person in the room. He was very friendly and outgoing. Howard was avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting, fishing, golfing and shooting trap.
He and his wife Mary Clair were married for 25 years. They met and bonded over their shared interests in hunting.
A memorial service for Howard is planned for his extended family and friends in the spring of 2023. There will be an announcement placed in the Havre Daily News prior for those friends and family wishing to join us.
