Snow blankets the ground around the Hello Walk and hangs on trees at Montana State University-Northern's campus this morning. Snow blanketed the region the last couple of days, with National Weather Service reporting the station at Havre City-County Airport recorded 4.1 inches of total snow from the storm the last two days, although more likely fell inside Havre itself. The cold also is back, with the temperature in Havre dropping to 1 degree just before midnight and continuing to drop with it hitting minus 8 by about 8 this morning. A wind chill advisory is in effect for this region of Montana through 11 a.m. Saturday with the forecast predicting highs in the teens and 20s and lows in the single digits or colder - the forecast predicts the low for Tuesday night in Havre will hit minus 8 - then warming up to around 30 by next Thursday. A chance of snow is in the forecast for Monday through Tuesday morning.
