Havre Police Department

Prescription drugs were reported stolen at a First Street West business Monday at 11:59 a.m.

An arrest was made after a caller at Havre High School reported a drug offense Monday at 12:03 p.m. No details on charges were provided.

A dog bite incident was reported Monday at 12:04 p.m. by a caller on Montana Avenue.

--

A beer theft from the previous day was reported at 1:06 p.m. Monday at a First Street business.

Darrin Kent Torgerson of Havre, 50, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after a Third Street caller reported a theft Monday at 1:23 p.m.

An arrest was made related to a transport made by Havre police Monday at 3:12 p.m. No details on charges were provided.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Vandalism was reported Monday at 2:09 p.m. on County Road 180 North of Rudyard.

Marcus Antoine Inman of Havre, 32, was arrested on a charge of violation of a no contact order after officers assisted another agency on County Road 30 Monday at 3:09 p.m.

Deputies investigated a domestic disturbance reported on Fifth Street North at 7:47 p.m. Monday.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to four calls Monday, and firefighters assisted Bear Paw Volunteer Fire Department on a call at 10:46 a.m.

Bear Paw Volunteer Fire Department

A structure fire was reported on the 5600 Block of Beaver Creek Highway Monday at 10:46 a.m. Bear Paw Fire Chief Josh Bebee said a fire started on the outside of of a home as a result of a malfunctioning heater for a farm-tap gas line. Bebee said Havre Fire Department also sent a fire unit in mutual aid, but the homeowner had the fire out before any fire trucks arrived. The home sustained minor damage to some exterior siding.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held four cats and one kitten all of unknown gender, one female kitten, four male cats, one female cat and two male kittens. Two cats were being held separately for the trap-neuter-release program.

The shelter also held five mixed-breed puppies of varying ages, a female Australian cattle dog-blue heeler, a female 8-month-old Labrador, a male and a female mixed-breed dogs and a male German shepherd. Additionally, a male dog and a male 9-month-old puppy, both mixed-breed, were being fostered, and five 15-week-old mixed-breed puppies were being held separately.
