Deputies transported a prisoner from Warm Springs back to Hill County Detention Center at 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Sarah Ashley Lantrip of Havre, 33, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and on charges of operating a vehicle without valid registration, driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license and no vehicle insurance during a vehicle stop on Seventh Avenue Wednesday at 11:15 a.m.

Emergency medical technicians responded to nine calls Wednesday and one early this morning.

Firefighters, accompanied by an ambulance, responded to a 10:07 a.m. Wednesday report of a gas odor on the 600 Block of First Street West. Firefighters and a NorthWestern Energy crew identified two small gas leaks and the building owner was advised to get them repaired.

Firefighters, accompanied by an ambulance, responded to a Wednesday 5:50 p.m. fire alarm on the 10 Block of Third Street West and reset the alarm after finding no signs of fire.
Havre Animal Shelter
The shelter this morning held one cat of unknown gender, two female kittens, two male cats, two female cats and one male kitten, along with two cats in the trap-neuter-release program.

The shelter also held five mixed-breed puppies, a female Australian cattle dog-blue heeler, a male and a female mixed-breed dogs and a male German shepherd. Additionally, a male dog and a male 9-month-old puppy, both mixed-breed, were being fostered, and six 13-week-old mixed-breed puppies were being held separately.
