Letter to the Editor - Thanks for your support

Thank you so much for all of your support and encouragement throughout this campaign. We all hold unique ideas and ways of thinking, but this campaign showed that, no matter what walk of life anyone comes from, we all can work together for the common good and achieve any goal we set out to do.

Most importantly, this campaign was conducted respectfully. Maliciousness and hostility are not required to make positive change, and people saw and embraced that. For the first time in decades, maybe ever, many people stepped out of the old expectation to vote solely for their respective parties and voted for the person they felt would do the best job, and that is how we should determine who leads us. Thank you for listening and working together to affect change.

I am not a politician. I am a local resident, just like you, who saw that change in our county government was desperately needed. The people of Hill County united and supported me in my effort to initiate change, and, together, we did it! Thank you, everyone.

The work has only just begun, for all of us. Your voices, and continued support, are needed to ensure and realize the brighter vision and future, for all of us, in our beautiful county. I look forward to working with, and for, you, and I am honored to be a servant of our Hill County community. Thank you again.
