Roosvelt Brumfield of Mount Vernon, Luisiana, 50, was arrested for a trespass to property charge after a Wednesday 8:26 p.m. caller on Ninth Street reported a man who was knocking on the door and wouldn't leave.

Hill County Sheriff's Office
A Wednesday 7:31 p.m. call about a non-injury vehicle crash in which the driver thought he might have rear-ended a semitractor-trailer that he couldn't see in the blowing snow on U.S. Highway 87 near 72nd Avenue West was referred to Montana Highway Patrol.

Havre Fire Department
Emergency medical technicians responded to three calls Wednesday and one call early this morning.

Firefighters responded to a fire alarm on the 400 Block of Third Street, but no fire was found.

Firefighters were called at 2:03 a.m. today to the 1200 Block of U.S. Highway 87 where a propane tank warming blanket had caught fire. The fire was out upon arrival and inspection found no damage to the property and no injuries were reported.
Havre Animal Shelter
The shelter this morning held two cats and one kitten both of unknown gender, three male cats, one male kitten and two female cats, along with two cats in the trap-neuter-release program.

The shelter also held seven mixed-breed puppies, a female Australian cattle dog-blue heeler, a male and a female mixed-breed dogs, a male mastiff-pit bull cross, a female 6-month-old German shepherd, a male pit bull-Labrador cross and a male German shepherd. Additionally, a male dog and a male 8-month-old puppy, both mixed-breed, were being fostered, and eight 12-week-old mixed-breed puppies were being held separately.
