Hi-Line Athletes of the Week: Lizzi Haney and Braydon Cline

Lizzi Haney

Defense is always key to volleyball, and Havre High senior Lizzi Haney is a great defender. Playing libber for the Blue Ponies all season long, Haney has been a force in the back row, and she was again at the Eastern A last week in Sidney. Haney, who also excels in basketball and softball at HHS, finished the divisional tournament with 101 digs and five service aces. Haney helped the Blue Ponies reach the State A Tournament for yet another year.

Braydon Cline

It was close, but the Big Sandy Pioneers are once again in the Six-Man semifinals, and quarterback Braydon Cline is a big reason why. In the Pioneers' 25-20 win over Custer-Hysham-Melstone last Saturday, Cline rushed for 178 yards and two touchdowns, while throwing for 80 yards and another score. Cline scored on runs of 15 and 47 yards and threw a 19-yard touchdown pass, lifting Big Sandy to the semifinals against Bridger this Saturday.
