Moore appointed HPS interim superintendent

The Havre Public Schools Board of Trustees voted unanimously Tuesday to appoint Brad Moore as Interim Superintendent for the remainder of the year.

Craig Mueller had been superintendent until last month when he died unexpectedly, leaving the district without a superintendent.

Board members said they are drawing up a document detailing the procedures to hire a permanent superintendent, a document that will be discussed at their next special meeting in two weeks.

At the meeting Moore also presented an official enrollment report for the district, as well as a proposal to let eighth graders participate in high school athletics for 2023-24 school year.

The enrollment report showed no change in student total from last year.

Havre Middle School Assistant Principal Melissa Han also provided an area report on her school.

See more about the meeting in Thursday’s edition of the Havre Daily News.
