Veterans Giving Tree starting for holiday season

Havre Elks Lodge is conducting its Veterans Giving Tree program again this year and is looking for donors and for veterans who could use a boost at Christmas.

The veterans giving tree is a way during the holiday season for Havre Elks and the community to give back to local veterans who served the country.

A Christmas tree at the Elks Lodge has tags with information provided by veterans about their wants and or needs. Any individual or group can pick a tag from the tree, purchase the items and place them, wrapped or unwrapped, under the tree. On Dec. 17 Lodge secretary Brandy Kurtz will deliver the Christmas gifts to the veterans.

Anyone who would like to purchase a gift or gifts and any veterans who wish to sign up, or someone who would like to sign up a veteran, can contact Kurtz at 406-390-0091.
