Obituary - Cheryl A. Evans

Cheryl A. Evans, 84, passed away due to natural causes Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Northern Montana Care Center.

Cremation has taken place, and memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2022, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.

Cheryl's family has suggested memorial donations be made in Cheryl's memory to the Havre High School Scholarship Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.

Cheryl was born December 22, 1937, in Havre to Anthony and Verda (Norenberg) Alex. She spent her early years in Hingham, and then her family to moved to Havre, where Cheryl attended school. She graduated from Havre High School in 1956, and, in November 1957, she married Bob Evans. The couple had five children. For most of her life, Cheryl was a homemaker, caring for her husband and family. She did spend five years working as the activities director for Sandy's Nursing Home.

Cheryl enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, playing Scrabble, embroidering, crocheting, and playing cards. She also loved to bake, and everything always turned out mouth-wateringly delicious. Cheryl volunteered at the voting center for many years and was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. She absolutely adored her family, and loved to spend time with them.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Antoinette Marie Christopherson; parents, Tony and Verda Alex, and all of her siblings except one.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Bob Evans of Havre; children Bob (Kayce) Evans of Havre, Teri (Robert) Bickford of Cut Bank, Alan (Wendy) Evans of Missoula and Sam (Andrea) Evans of Cut Bank; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother John Alex of Casper, WY; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
