Haddie Woods, CJI Volleyball

The Chester-Joplin-Inverness volleyball team is having a really good season, and CJI's Haddie Woods is as well. Woods performed strong in CJI's three matches last week. Woods had a wide array of stats in what was an excellent all-around performance as the Hawks won three matches in the District 7C, as they improved to 8-3 in the district. Woods is also strong on the basketball court for CJI in the winter as well as on the tennis court in the spring.

Lane Demontiney, Big Sandy Football

The Big Sandy Pioneers just keep on dominating. In a 60-7 win over the Box Elder Bears last Saturday, the Pioneers got a huge game from senior Lane Demontiney, who caught a pair of touchdown passes and also returned a punt for a score. Demontiney caught TDs of 11 and 20 yards, and his punt return went for 40 yards. Demontiney is also an All-Conference basketball player and standout on the track at Big Sandy.
