Havre Police Department

Cara Elise Longknife of Dodson, 34, was arrested on a shoplifting charge and on three Justice or City court warrants, and Charles Joseph Henderson of Dodson, 35, was arrested on a shoplifting charge and a state District Court warrant after a caller at a First Street business reported two juveniles and two adults shoplifting Tuesday at 9:22 a.m.

A Second Street caller asked Tuesday at 9:23 a.m. for assistance removing a man from the premises.

Casey Christopher Gilbertson of Havre, 26, was arrested on charges of theft, forgery, driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license, failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance and probation violation after a caller at a First Street business reported a possible fraudulent check Tuesday at 10:46 a.m.

A theft of goods was reported at a First Street business at 4:47 p.m. Tuesday.

A Tuesday 8:31 p.m. caller in the First Street West alley reported seeing a runaway officers were searching for.

Officers investigated after a Seventh Avenue caller reported at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday that a missing grandchild had returned.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A deer hit on U.S. Highway 2 East was reported obstructing traffic at 9:08 a.m. Tuesday.

A Tuesday 6:01 p.m. report of a white Cadillac swerving on U.S. Highway 87 near mile marker 104 was referred to Montana Highway Patrol.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to two calls Tuesday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held 14 kittens and one cat all of unknown gender, two male cats, six female cats, one female kitten and two male kittens.

The shelter also held three 14-week-old mixed-breed puppies, a 15-week-old female terrier puppy, two female and two male mixed-breed dogs, a female 22-week-old German shepherd puppy and a male 21-week-old mixed-breed puppy. Additionally, one male mixed-breed dog and nine 7-week-old mixed-breed puppies were being held separately.
