MMA action set for Saturday in Havre

While there are plenty of high school sports for locals to watch over the weekend, those will not be the only athletic activities, as this Saturday night at the Bigger Better Barn at the Great Northern Fairgrounds, Victory Fight Night will put on several fights for fans to see.

The main event will be a professional bout that will be a bare knuckle championship in the lightweight division. The two fighters going at it will be Delane Lamere and Timmy Mason. Lamere is from the Hi-Line while Mason is one of the best fighters in Montana, so this fight should draw plenty of attention Saturday night.

The co-main event will be a light-heavyweight amateur boxing title fight, which will be between Craig Azure and L.J. Augon. Both fighters have ties to northern Montana as Azure is from Fort Peck while Augon is from Great Falls. Azure is also the cousin of UFC fighter Hunter Azure.

There will be several other bouts involving local fighters throughout the night. Ivan Windyboy will fight against Mark Belcourt while Mikey Dunning will go at it with Dorian Long. Kendall Windyboy will face Mike Bell and Jordan Perino will fight Wayne Tren. Bubba Latray will also go at it with Cole Delandlea.

The doors will open at 6 p.m. at the Bigger Better Barn and the fights will start at 7 p.m. Admission will cost $35 at the door and there are still tables for eight available for $500. Along with seating eight people, free drinks and food will be available to tables.
