People have a chance to attend free webinars giving information about the law, including the Zoom sessions being shown in the Timmons Room of the Hill County Courthouse.
The Zoom sessions, which people can access online at any convenient location, are being offered by The State Bar of Montana’s Law Related Education Committee. The series of public education sessions will include a variety of law-related topics.
Hill County Attorney Lacey Lincoln, who is unopposed in her bid to retain her position in the November election, said people can attend one session, multiple sessions or all eight sessions in the courthouse or sign in themselves at the State Bar website.
“This is a great opportunity for our community to learn about specific areas of Montana law and increase awareness of our legal system,” Lincoln said in a release announcing the sessions. “It’s not often the public gets a glimpse into the day of a Montana District Court judge. Just remember, no legal advice will be provided. This is for educational purposes only.
Lincoln said if people have questions or want more information can contact her at 406-265-5481 ext. 2423.
