Hi-Line Volleyball Roundup: Longhorns rolling in District 7C play

A full week of high school volleyball was on the slate again this past week, as the season is now a month old.

Last Tuesday, Big Sandy took on the Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks in a key 7C match in Big Sandy.

Last Thursday was a busy night on the court, as Fort Benton beat Centerville by scores of 25-16, 25-6, 24-26 and 26-24 in an exciting 7C match. The Longhorns got 11 kills and two blocks from Emerson Giese in the win. Last Thursday night also saw Chinook sweep Box Elder, Big Sandy beat Hays-Lodge Pole and Harlem fall to Malta in a Class B District 2B matchup.

On Friday night, Fort Benton took on HLP twice. The Longhorns won the first match by scores of 25-19, 25-9 and 25-15. Sasha Corder had 11 assists and five aces for the Longhorns, who also won the second match by scores of 25-17, 25-16 and 25-13. Kylie Danbrook had five aces and Hailee Wang had seven digs for the Longhorns.

Friday night also saw North Star defeat Box Elder in a 7C match, by scores of 25-19, 25-13 and 25-7. The Knights dominated the match, with 21 kills and 17 aces.

Unfortunately, the run didn't continue for the Knights, who fell to Highwood in a 7C matchup, by scores of 25-17, 25-17 and 25-7.

Saturday also saw Harlem take on a Conrad in a Class B matchup.
