Havre Police Department

Officers investigated an open door to a Third Street business where no one was around at 8:24 a.m. Thursday.

A sexual or violent offender registry violation was reported at the police station Thursday at 10:16 a.m.

Dustin John Grandchamp of Box Elder, 30, was issued a summons on a charge of shoplifting after an 11:12 a.m. Thursday report of a theft from a First Street West business.

Officers assisted another agency with an investigation in Havre Thursday at 11:43 a.m.

A Fourth Street caller reported Thursday 12:36 p.m. being unable to find their niece.

--

A caller at Havre High School reported a student having a medical issue at 1:21 p.m. Thursday.

After a caller reported a juvenile shooting a BB gun at the skate park at 7:32 p.m. Thursday, officers asked the 10-year-old boy who was shooting cans to stop and he did.

Tirrell Esequiz Velasquez of Box Elder, 28, was arrested on charges of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of dangerous drugs after a caller on First Street reported a man was going through the trash at 9:34 p.m. Thursday.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

The sheriff's office dispatch log reported no arrests, summonses or investigations in the 24-hour reporting period.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to six calls Thursday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held 11 kittens and two cats all of unknown gender, five male kittens, three male cats, five female cats and two female kittens.

The shelter also held four 16-week-old mixed-breed puppies, five 11-week-old mixed-breed puppies, three 5-week-old puppies, two male and one female mixed-breed dogs, a male pug-Chihuahua and a male Australian shepherd. Additionally, seven puppies and one male dog, all mixed-breeds, were being fostered.
