Local Golf Report: Katie Heath wins Prairie women's title

From Tee to Green

The golf season continues to wind its way down on the local front.

Last weekend at Prairie Farms Golf Course, Katie Heath won the annual Women’s Club Championship after shooting a great round of 84. Kelsey Ward finished second. Congrats to all the ladies on a great tournament and a great season.

Beaver Creek Golf Course had two more tournaments last weekend and will close out the season with its annual Club Championship Sunday. For more information on the tournament, contact the Pro Shop at BCGC.

Speaking of tournaments, Havre’s Shane Patacsil was the overall net champion at the Great Falls City Tournament Sunday at Eagle Falls Golf Course. Congrats, Shane. Good shooting.

Meanwhile, the MSU-Northern golf teams are underway at Marias Valley Golf Club in Shelby. The Lights and Skylights are hosting the MSU-Northern Invitational, which is kicking off the 2022 Frontier Conference fall golf season. Northern has hosted the tournament at Shelby two other times, and it’s exciting to see the program hosting once again. We’ll have all the MSU-N results from the 54-hole event later this week.

Once again, I’d like to remind everyone that there are just two columns left for this golf season. The final From Tee to Green will run next Tuesday, so if you’d like anything published, please email before then.
