Volunteer auxiliary donates to Northern Montana Hospital Surgical Day Care

Volunteers donate Spa Source Klyne obstetrics procedure chair

Press release

Northern Montana Hospital's Surgical Day Care was recently gifted an obstetrics procedure chair purchased by the Northern Montana Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary. The Spa Source Klyne + OB/GYN model exam and power procedure chair will be used for gynecological procedures. It is an all electric chair/bed that features four motors to control the height, backrest, leg-rest and tilt functions. The chair also has a convenient single button re-set switch on the back to return the chair to the seated, upright position.

"Having this chair available for gynecological procedures will add comfort and flexibility for our patients" said Director of Operating Room Services Danielle Courtnage, RN. "The extra features enable us to place the patient in the correct position while ensuring stability for more exact motions. Our patient's comfort and safety are very important to us, and this chair will definitely help with that."

The Northern Montana Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary purchased this chair off the "Wish List" that had been submitted to them this past year.

"We like to say that the Volunteers here at NMH provide the 'extras' in health care" said Judy Solomon, NMH Volunteer Auxiliary president. "We run the gift shops and our proceeds go back into the organization to help with projects and supplies. These items are selected from requests made, and we're so proud of each and every item we're able to contribute to the organization."

The Northern Montana Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary has been a long-standing part of Northern Montana Health Care and is always accepting new members. People can contact Volunteer Services Supervisor Lizzy Lindbom at 406-262-1330 for more information on how to become a volunteer at Northern Montana Hospital.
