Havre Police Department

Officers assisted other agencies on a call on Boulevard Avenue Friday at 1:39 p.m.

A Fifth Avenue call reported Friday at 2:18 p.m. finding a red Dynacraft bike in their yard.

--

A dead deer was reported in a backyard on Eighth Street Friday at 4:34 p.m.

--

Jace Kovalicky of Lolo, 24, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and careless driving after a caller reported an erratic driver on First Street Friday at 11:02 p.m.

Dawson Joe Kinsella of Havre, 22, was arrested on charges of DUI and careless driving after a vehicle stop Saturday at 1:57 a.m. on Fourth Avenue.

Tristin Raine Trahant of Box Elder, 26, was arrested on a possession of drug paraphernalia and on three Justice or City court warrants after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a man asleep in a vehicle with the interior lights on at 3:52 a.m. Saturday.

A shoplifter was reported at a First Street business Saturday at 1:09 p.m.

--

A Fifth Avenue caller asked Saturday at 7:01 p.m. to speak with an officer.

--

Raini June Rogers of Billings, 25, was arrested on a shoplifting charge after a caller at a First Street business reported a detained shoplifter at 9:22 p.m. Saturday.

Someone stopped at the police station Saturday at 9:48 p.m. asking to speak with an officer.

--

Vandalism was reported on Washington Avenue Sunday at 3:58 p.m.

Floyd Webster John Runsabove of Dodson, 58, was arrested on charges of criminal child endangerment, DUI, suspended or revoked driver's license, no vehicle insurance, and violation of child restraint, and Tonia Lynn Cliff of Havre, 49, was arrested on a charge of endangering the welfare of child and three Justice or City court warrants after a caller reported a possibly drunk driver with a child in the front seat on U.S. Highway 2 East Sunday at 6:57 p.m.

Collette Marie Stiffarm of Harlem, 32, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant after officers responded to two Sunday 8:01 p.m. reports of intoxicated men on Second Street.

--

A dog bite was reported Sunday at 8:33 p.m. at the hospital.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A Friday 4:15 p.m. report of a missing person near Bear Paw Ski Bowl was referred to Search and Rescue and the person was later reported by Rocky Boy Police Department as found.

Jessica Suzette Johnson of Box Elder, 43, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served at Hill County Detention Center Saturday at 8:05 p.m.

Michael Jay Stump of Havre, 48, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and on charges of DUI refused to test, habitual traffic offender, driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license and no vehicle insurance, after deputies were called Sunday at 6:14 p.m. to assist another agency at Second Street West and Third Avenue West.

Montana Highway Patrol

Troopers were called shortly after 7 a.m. to the scene of hit and run pedestrian in Box Elder on U.S. Highway 87 at the intersection with Main Street. Trooper Matt Erickson said it appeared the adult male had been struck around 6:30 a.m. but not found until a half hour later. The victim had multiple fractures along with cuts and bruises and was flown to Benefis in Great Falls for surgery. Erickson added this morning that the investigation is still underway and if anyone has a lead they can call Montana Highway Patrol of Hill County Sheriff's Office.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to three calls Friday, five calls Saturday, seven calls Sunday and three calls early this morning.

Firefighters responded to three calls Sunday: a fire alarm reset on the 1300 Block of Jefferson Avenue at 7:50 a.m., an oven fire on the 300 Block of 10th Street at 8:47 a.m. and a false alarm on the 100 Block of 34th Avenue West at 5:34 p.m. No one was made available to provide information on the fire.

Bear Paw Volunteer Fire Department

Smoke was reported in the Bear Paw Mountains off Bullhook Road Saturday afternoon, said Hill County Undersheriff Stan Martin, and Bear Paw volunteer fire department, local land owners and a private crew responded and contained to less than a half-acre the fire, which looked to be the result of a lightning strike.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held 13 kittens and one cat all of unknown gender, four male cats, two male kittens and six female cats.

The shelter also held a male border collie, an Australian cattle dog-blue heeler puppy, two male puppies, a female dog and a male Australian shepherd. Additionally, seven puppies and one male dog were being fostered.
