Letter to the Editor - Thanks for help when we were stranded

I wanted to extend a thank you from myself and my family to the community of Havre.

We were recently stranded after we hit a deer in the middle of the night near Chinook. Law enforcement had to pick us up as our van was badly damaged. Thanks to Highway Patrol Trooper Dan Ohl and Chinook Police Officer Richard Balas. We had to transport our family of five in two vehicles. Both were extremely helpful and friendly.

Thanks to Scott at Ace Towing, Shane at My Canvas Auto for their prompt and friendly service. The Best Western hotel for taking us in at 3 a.m. and letting us stay until our van was driveable. Also thanks to the Duck Inn for a great meal and friendly service.

You all made an awful situation as bearable as possible. Bless you all!
