Havre Police Department

Michelle Rose Jiron of Havre, 31, was arrested on a criminal contempt charge related to a 24/7 Sobriety Program violation Thursday at 8:03 a.m.

A Thursday 8:37 a.m. caller on Second Street asked on behalf a family member for assistance with two grandchildren who had not returned.

A caller with Adult Protective Services made a report to officers at 10:24 a.m. Thursday.

--

An assault was reported at a 13th Street facility Thursday at 1:31 p.m.

Officers investigated a vehicle crash reported on First Street Thursday at 2:56 p.m.

An arrest was made on a warrant served Thursday at 4:51 p.m. in the alley between Second and Third streets. No details on charges were provided.

Shayla Dee Peters of Missoula, 37, was arrested on a shoplifting charge after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 Northwest business reported Thursday at 7:36 p.m. a woman had stolen three bags full of items and driven off toward town.

Darrin Dean Longfox Jr. of Hays, 26, was arrested on charges of aggravated driving under the influence, failure to carry proof of vehicle insurance and speeding during a vehicle stop at 2:19 a.m. today.

Warren Paul Small Jr. of Box Elder, 24, was arrested on a trespass to property charge after a caller at 4:38 a.m. today reported a trespasser.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies were dispatched Thursday at 8:12 p.m. to assist Montana Highway Patrol troopers at a crash at mile marker 16 on Montana Highway 234.

A drug offense was reported during booking at Hill County Detention Center Thursday at 8:24 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to three calls Thursday and three calls early this morning.

Firefighters responded to a fire alarm that required resetting Thursday at 8:38 p.m. on the 800 Block of Fourth Street.

Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on the 500 Block of Fourth Street at 9:36 p.m. Thursday. No one was made available to provide details by print deadline this morning.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter Wednesday morning held two 11-week-old kittens, two cats, three 10-week-old kittens and one 7-week-old kitten all of unknown gender, two male cats, six female cats, two male and one female 13-week-old kittens and two female and one male 11-week old kittens.

The shelter also held two male mixed breed dogs, a female German shepherd dog, a female 25-week-old Labrador retriever, one male 9-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a female mixed-breed dog, one female 6-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a male 11-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a male pit bull terrier and a male pit bull-border collie cross. Additionally, five male 8-week-old puppies, one female and one male 5-week-old puppies and one male dog, all mixed breeds, were being fostered.
